What are your impressions of the publication?

Just positive. There were no bad moments. 4PDA is not the only site about mobile apps and games, but it definitely is one of the largest ones. Yet, communication with the staff was very nice and pleasant — there are many sites with fewer users and much less unfriendly staff writers. I’d say that the success of our game is in large part due to the warm reception it got on 4PDA. Snuch Studio is very grateful for this.

How do you assess the effectiveness of such publication?

I can tell the estimated figures. 
Immediately after the publication the game became one of the 5 highest-rated mobile RPGs in Russia. For a while after that, the game stayed in the top ten. Now, after a week, the game continues to regularly return to this top. In one and a half months the game has achieved the success it didn’t have at launch. Keep in mind that that at this point we didn’t have shiny pretty screenshots and icons that are so important in the App Store.

I am sure that a good product, with the help of a similar placement, will be able to top the Russian App Store charts for its category for a long time. Maybe it won’t be enough for some, but I think the efficiency is high. Of course, had the game topped all the world charts, including Cape Verde Mauritius, I would be more than happy. But I am pleased with the results nonetheless.

What are your impressions of the publication?

Immediately after the publication I received exclusively aggressive and rude comments that had to be answered in the same manner. (Thanks to the mod team, they were removed). I never observed such hostility at Google Play and Trashbox. The amount of negative and positive comment is about equal there.

I did not expect the promotion to be so effective. Maybe I’m exaggerating, as I am a beginner dev, but the number of downloads increased many times in the first two days after the publication on 4PDA! Thank you.

Only the most positive. I would say that it is the best way of promotion on the Android platform in the CIS.

It’s excellent for Android apps. When it comes to iOS, I would say that with  Z.O.N.A the effect was comparable to that in the specialized websites that only write about Apple. The effect was weaker with other iOS apps.

And finally, I must say that if your app is good, advertising on 4pda guarantees you an influx of new buyers.

My app has been up for downloading on the forum for a year, but I was surprised to find out that a large number of 4pda readers did not know about it until the review appeared on the front page.

How do you assess the effectiveness of such publication?

The number of downloads has sharply increased from about 200-250 per day to 700. This effect lasted only for two days, however. But anyway, what you are doing is really great and will certainly be appreciated by those who have just submitted their app to a store and have no audience yet.

For three days after the publication, when the news was relatively fresh and thus was higher on the page, and in the first 2 days, when it was placed on the home page we had 1,800 active installations and 2,200 installations in total.
