Changes in 1.4.6 (Due out on the 20th Feb if all goes well)
======================================================
* Big increase in PID read speed when you have ‘fast mode’ ticked in the settings. Unfortunately some of the cheap clone/china OBD2 adapters won’t work very well in this mode and if Torque sees the adapter having problems then it will fallback to normal mode. But this works well on the OBDKey and Scantool.net OBDLink products. As a sidenote on this, and to be open about this, I make no income from any of the adapter sales(but I have had things like a couple of adapters to test with Torque sent to me and a ecu sim, from scantool.net and obdkey.com (thanks both))
* Found a bug in the clone adapters whilst increasing the read speed, whereby replies from other ECUs in the vehicle get ignored. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do about fixing this as it seems to be a bug with the firmware on the chip itself.
* Made the dial needle semi-transparent so you can see the any obscured information.
* Added some useful VIN/Manufacturer information to the status activity (Manufacturer dependant)
* Added vehicle calibration id to the status activity (for ECU’s that support it)
* Added a max PIDs/second read speed into the status activity so you can see how many PIDs/second you can get from your particular adapter.
* Fix/improvement for 1/4 and 1/8th mile timings being rounded to a whole second.
* Large calibration ID Strings stored in the ECU should now be nicely formatted when looking at them in the status screen.
* Change the protocol ”detection” code to workaround a few more poorly implemented OBD2 systems on some vehicles.
